Furniture Designer

​With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in designed objects from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, furniture designer Luke Wong established Hao Wai Ltd soon after graduating in 2005. Most of his skills are self-taught; learned through hands-on and on the job experience. Luke also worked as an intern for the Chicago-based furniture design firm, Niedermaier. His internship position quickly turned into a full-time position. While at Niedermaier, Luke was able to fully explore many aspects of design at Niedermaier including furniture, display, store fixtures, interior design, and graphics.  In addition to custom commissions, Hao Wai provides high-end fabrication work for architects and designers. His work has been displayed in Chicago at the Merchandise Mart and in New York at the D&D Building.
